Garden Hot Tubs

Best Place for Hot Tubs!
Indoors or in the garden...

Having a hot tub at home is a trend that has become very popular thanks hot tubs becoming cheaper and the range of spas available now means that there is something suitable for all budgets and needs. As you have decided to get yourself a hot tub it is very important that you to decide where you are going to install it, regardless of whether you're installing it yourself or getting it installed professionally, before it's delivered because you will have to do some preparation for it.

Inside your house or outside in the garden?

This is probably the most important question to ask yourself as it could actually affect your choice of hot tub. Both locations have thier own appeal but they each require equally amounts of effort, even though the work involved for the installation will be different for each one. Start now to think where you are going to install your hot tub or spa as it is going to be difficult, expensive and impractical to change your mind after the installation has been completed!

Inside the House

A nice idea and most people who can prefer to have their hot tub in the same room or one adjoining their bathroom making it easy to have a shower before/after your soak. Whatever the room it will also need appropriate plumbing and electrics but the main point you have to think of is that the water filled hot tub will be very heavy, therefore an upstairs room is not suitable as the wooden floor joists are very unlikely to support it. The room will also need good ventilation to make sure that there is no build up of excessive moisture that can cause damp.

Outside the house

Most common place for a hot tub is outside in the garden especially in the UK. It is recommended that a gazebo is also put up around the tub, as if the hot tub is completely in the open air it just may not be practical for use throughout the year however nice it is to sit in a spa in the rain/snow you still have to get to and from it! You need to choose a spot in the garden where water for the plumbing and electricity is present or nearby. If properly installed and looked after an outdoor hot tub is not likely to need more cleaning and maintenance.
